Prior to joining IIIT, I worked as a Research Engineer at Pentagram Research Centre (PRC), Hyderabad. At PRC, I built the
Logical Image Processing System (LIPS) software package, which included a number of image processing routines built using
the Cellular Logic Array Processing (CLAP) framework. I obtained a B.Tech degree in Comp. Sci. from Vidya Jyothi Institute
of Technology, Hyderabad in 2003. I was awarded the Gold Medal for securing the highest overall percentage in my college.
I am particularly proud of having been instrumental in bringing the International Conference on Systemics, Cybernetics and
Informatics (ICSCI 2004) to being. ICSCI has provided a platform and
spring board for students of local engineering colleges in India, which are cursed with poor research environments.
ICSCI has encouraged many young students to do serious research, and provided them with a forum where they could interact
with some of the better faculties from across the globe. ICSCI has since been held every year in the month of January at Hyderabad.
