Hi! I am Md Faizal Karim.

I am a 5th year Computer Science and Engineering student studying at International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad.

Currently, I am working as an Undergraduate Researcher at Robotics Research Center, IIIT Hyderabad under Professor K Madhava Krishna.

I am interested in Robotics research, particulary in dual-arm manipulation and grasping. Outside research, I spend my time reading non-fiction (do check out my reading list here), playing open-world games and attending every major concert I can.

  1. Maximizing Likelihood is equivalent to minimizing the KL Divergence

The above statement often comes up in papers involving generative models, and most of the times it is taken for granted. Hence, here is a proof to one of the most important building blocks for all generative models.
