I am Sowmya V.B. doing my M.S. by research in Computer Science and Engineering with specialisation in Information Retrieval/Natural Language processing. I am working under Dr Vasudeva Varma.

Don't worry, I am not writing much. :) This is the chronology of my academic life till date:
1. 1999 - Passed SSC from Montessori High School, Kurnool with 87% of marks.
2. 2001 - Passed Intermediete with Maths Physics Chemistry as optionals from Kakatiya Junior college, S.R.Nagar, affiliated to Board of Intermediete Education, Andhra Pradesh, with 95% of marks.
3. 2001 - Wrote one and only competitive exam of my life till then, EAMCET and aquired a rank of 756 from among 1 lakh+ participants.
4. 2005 - Graduated from Osmania University(Vasavi College of Engineering, Hyderabad) in Electronics & Communication Engineering, with 85% of marks.
5. Till July 2006 - Worked as an Assistant Systems Engineer-Trainee at Tata Consultancy Services Limited(TCS),Hyderabad.
6. July 2006 till date - MS student at IIIT, Hyderabad.
Technical Interests:
Informal Retrieval, Natural Language Processing, Information Extraction, Dialog systems, Question Answering, Development of Technologies for Indian Languages, Human-Computer Interaction etc. Sounds too many isn't it? What to do - I am a curious cat.
Other Interests:
I am very much interested in reading books, Listening to Music, Nature watch and Photography.
