I am a research scholar (Ph.D.) at the International Institute of Information Technology Hyderabad (IIIT-H), India. My research focuses on localization and tracking of acoustic sources. With the increasing prevalence of smart devices such as smart phones, cars, robots, and drones that come equipped with microphone arrays, there is a need to accurately locate and track sound sources amidst interference, reverberation, and background noise. My work involves developing parametric models that can perform joint localization and tracking tasks, allowing us to identify source trajectories for a block of array data. This approach differs from traditional localization methods that estimate directions of arrival (DOAs) per block. In addition to this, I am also exploring the use of deep learning-based models for trajectory localization. I am excited to contribute to the field through my research and make a meaningful impact.
I am working under the supervision of Dr. Santosh Nannuru. My Ph.D. research revolves around developing parametric models and algorithms for joint localization and tracking tasks. We call this as trajectory localization which allows us to identify source trajectories for a block of array data. This approach differs from traditional localization methods that estimate directions of arrival (DOAs) per block. In addition to this, I am also exploring the use of deep learning-based models for trajectory localization.
At SRIB, I am associated with the connectivity team, focusing on various methods for object detection and classification through the analysis of reflected radar signals.
Interning with Virtual labs (E-Learning Platform) for an online-lab education course on signal processing under the supervision of Prof. Santosh Nannuru.
I was associated with Machine Listening Lab, at the Queen Mary University of London, working under the supervision of Prof. Huy Phan. During this internship (online) I explored deep learning-based methods for sound source localization using the DCASE-2021 dataset.
During my RAship, I worked on the cross-calibration between the RADAR and the Camera under the supervision of Prof. Shobha Sundar Ram. An experimental setup was designed for data collection using RADAR and a Camera. I also explored the data fusion of multiple sensors (Lidar, Camera, and Radar ) for ADAS systems (smart cars).
During my internship under Prof. Sumit Darak, I worked on the generation of multi-carrier waveforms in 5G. I got the opportunity to work on the hardware setup using RTL-SDR and USRP.
