February 2026 — Exploring New Languages
By February 2026, I started exploring new programming languages and technologies such as Python, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, broadening beyond my initial C/C++ background.
A little bit about who I am.
Hi! I'm Vanshika and I'm currently pusuing B.Tech CHD at IIIT Hyderabad. I'm someone who enjoys a mix of both chill and active hobbies. I really like playing badminton and swimming when I get the time, but honestly, sleeping is probably my favourite activity. Recently, I've also started getting into dance, which has been fun so far. I also enjoy solving puzzles, especially when I want to relax but still keep my mind engaged. I really love Disney movies, especially because of how they animate everything so beautifully. The way they bring characters and worlds to life feels so magical to me, and it's something I really enjoy watching again and again. I love spending time with my friends, whether it's just hanging out or doing something creative. In terms of skills, I'm currently familiar with C, C++, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and I'm always looking to improve and learn more. Overall, I'd say I'm someone who likes to balance studies and fun, try new things, and enjoy the little moments with people around me.

I worked on developing a command-line Twixt game and music manager project. These projects helped me understand the importance of writing modular and structured code. It was the first time I applied programming concepts in a more pratical and meaningful way, which significantly improved my confidence.
The midlab exam in the Cpro course was a turning point for me. The problems were quite challenging and I struggled to solve them. However, this experience motivated me to take programming more seriously and put in consistent effort to improve my problem-solving skills.
I joined IIITH, and it marked a major transition in my life. Moving into a new academic environment brought both excitement and uncertainity. It was my first real experience of independence and adapting to a more rigourous academic culture.
This was a period of complete relaxation for me. After finishing writing all my competitive exams, I took a break and spent my time without any academic pressure. Although it may seem unproductive, this phase helped me recharged mentally before entering a much more demanding phase of life.
